KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Objectives
• Support Head of Institutional Sales on servicing foreign institutional investors on their research & sales requirements.
• Support, create, and assist in establishing an Account Management system, account reviews, client mapping, and client coverage.
• Help create a Sales product that incorporates our research ideas, reports, tables, charts, & other data into one commercial package.
Main responsibilities
• Highlight key research and market ideas to foreign institutional investors on a daily basis, inclusive of macro & financial information on a written and spoken basis.
• Succintly summarise research reports and market-related news in comprehensible English.
• Assist with ad-hoc market requests on fundamental, qualitative, quantitative, and technical matters.
• Support management on client issues.
• Support with overall scheduling and calling/contacting clients for meetings.
• Help with client mapping and client coverage as part of an Account Management system.
• Ensure client coverage and mapping is accurate and updated.
• Create charts, tables, & dashboards that can be used by Sales for client servicing and internal purposes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Education level
• Bachelor’s degree from a well-regarded institution in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
2. Knowledge & Experiences
• A minimum 3-4 years working experience with a broker or buy-side firm.
• An understanding of financial statements, market data, and key financial metrics.
3. Technical skills
• Strong English communication skills (both written and spoken).
• Knowledge of relevant software programs (both Microsoft office, data providors, & internal systems).
• Organised and structured.
4. Soft skills
• A strong gravitas, personable, outgoing/extrovert, & aggressive.
• A high comfort level in dealing & liasing with foreign investors on financial & non-financial matters.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work in teams and work independently.
• An ability to multi-task.
• A strong work ethic, with more focus on work than life. Willing to work weekends and beyond the standard 6pm cutoff for client entertainment & requests.
