KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Objectives

IT Security engineer is a member of blue team. The primary role is to implement, manage, operate, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organizations data, systems and networks. Beside that the role is to detect and neutralise the more sophisticated attacks and closely monitor current and emerging threats to preemptively defend the organization.

Main responsibilities

• Work alongside security operations centre to help analyse/understand incidents
• Improve threat detection across a range of platforms.
• Perform gap analyses to identify the coverage of the SOC monitoring.
• Provide technical security support, advice and further analysis on vendor products and technologies.
• Implementing, Operating, Monitoring security infrastructure, identifying and reporting Real Time attacks and vulnerabilities on network.
• Identification of incidents and subsequent analysis and investigation to determine their severity and the response required.
• Ensure that incidents are correctly reported and documented in accordance with government policy and procedures.
• Maintain a keen understanding of evolving threats and vulnerabilities to ensure the security of the client network.
• As required update Protective Monitoring/SOC documentation, processes and procedures and ensure currency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Education level

At least Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or a related technical field.

2. Knowledge & Experiences

• At lead 3 years’ experience as a Security Engineer
• Knowledge of Information Security attack techniques and practices
• Advanced knowledge in network security and system administration
• Strong experience of Security Solutions:  SIEM, Firewall...

3. Technical skills

• Analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

4. Soft skills

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Good at written and oral Vietnamese and English.
