KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Objectives
• Ensure all post-trade activities for institutional equity transactions are processed accurately, promptly, and in accordance with procedures.
• Serve as a communication bridge between Trading Desk, Sales, Research, Back Office, and clients.
• Ensure full adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, while proactively monitoring and managing compliance risks.
• Proactively improve processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks.
Main responsibilities
• Oversee the full order flow and post-trade lifecycle, including order validation, booking, allocation, confirmation, and settlement coordination.
• Ensure all trades are executed in a timely manner, through the appropriate execution channels, and in full compliance with exchange rules and internal standards.
• Work closely with the Back Office, custodians, brokers, and the Trading Desk to resolve data inconsistencies, trade mismatches, and settlement related issues.
• Act as the central communication link among the Trading Desk, Sales, Research, Back Office, and clients regarding trade status updates and settlement progress.
• Provide timely notifications of discrepancies, delays, or operational matters requiring attention and uphold high standards of service quality.
• Ensure all post trade activities adhere to regulatory requirements, market practices, and internal compliance policies.
• Proactively identify and escalate operational risks; support the implementation of control measures to prevent errors and mitigate potential risks.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements, automation initiatives, and system optimizations to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain and update SOPs; monitor process performance and propose improvements to ensure smooth, efficient, and secure trade operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Education level
• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Banking, Securities, or related fields.
• Securities Brokerage Practice Certificate is required.
• CFA certification is priority.
2. Knowledge & Experience
• Have knowledge in securities and financial markets.
• Minimum 3–7 years of experience in finance/banking, with a preference for candidates who have experience in the securities field.
• Experience in post-trade operations, middle office, settlements, or securities operations within a brokerage, bank, asset manager, or financial institution.
3. Technical skills
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle processes, including booking, allocation, confirmation, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Familiar with equity market structure, order types, and execution channels.
• Proficient in trading and post-trade systems such as Bloomberg Terminal, Omgeo, Horizon, or similar order management/settlement systems.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and exchange rules.
